“The almost too-good-to-be-true tales make audiences guffaw, cringe, and tear up” — Washington Post
“…settle in as Washingtonians bare their souls and tell entertaining tales about everything from security clearances to online dating’’ — Washingtonian Magazine
Story District is bringing the heat this summer to Union Stage in a three-show series of true stories by real people. In this series, Story District remixes some of its funniest, weirdest, and most moving tales from past shows. Story District has been turning good stories into great performances for the past twenty years–regularly selling out DC’s top venues like the Lincoln Theatre and the 9:30 Club and coaching hundreds of people each year in the art of storytelling.
“It’s better than stand-up comedy– It’s like if David Sedaris, Big Brother and This Is Us had a baby. My friends and I laughed and talked about the show for hours.” — a fan
